Mike Vrabel breaks silence on Stefon Diggs viral video

On Wednesday, New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said the team is aware of a viral video with new wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

A video that appears to show Diggs handing three women an unknown pink substance while partying on a yacht surfaced on social media on Tuesday. It's unclear when the video was taken.

"Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field," Vrabel told the media. "We're hoping that with our time here on the field today, and that when we don't have a script and we're on the call periods, that we're making great decisions. The message will be the same for all our players, that we're trying to make great decisions. Any conversations that I've had with Stefon will remain between him, I and the club."

The Patriots signed Diggs to a three-year, $63.5M contract in free agency. He wasn't at Wednesday's practice and missed the team's first two OTAs, via The Athletic's Chad Graff. The 31-year-old is still recovering from a right ACL tear he suffered in October 2024.

"The timelines and the prognosis, we're working hard to get him back and be ready to go," Vrabel said. "When he's here, we'll coach him and have him ready to go."

The Patriots hope Diggs becomes a No. 1 target for second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Last season, tight end Hunter Henry led the team in receiving yards with 674 in 16 games.

When healthy, Diggs is one of the more productive receivers in the NFL. In his first nine seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills, he made four Pro Bowls and had 1,000 receiving yards or more six times. In eight games with the Houston Texans in 2024, he caught 47 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns.
