Justice Sueing to Remain in NBA Draft

We are not sure how much of a shock this is but it will impact Ohio State basketball next season. Sueing had one year of eligibility, his COVID year, but chose to enter the draft process. Wednesday, May 31st is the deadline for players to make a decision and Sueing has decided to not return to Columbus. 

One of the most seasoned players at Ohio State, Sueing could have provided leadership to another young group of talented players for coach Chris Holtmann. Sueing was a member of the Buckeyes for six seasons and could have returned for a seventh. Last season he averaged 12.3 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 42% from the field. He was often the calming force on a young team that struggled to find its connection throughout most of the season. 

Most analysts do not believe that Sueing will be drafted in the two rounds of the NBA draft but could be a potential pickup once the draft is completed. He could also begin his career overseas with a goal of returning to play in the NBA one day like another former Buckeye Jae’Sean Tate.

The NBA Draft takes place on June 22.
