Warriors guard may be traded as Golden State eyes roster reshuffle

Steph Curry isn't going anywhere. Yet everyone else in Golden State is fair game, according to The Athletic's Anthony Slater. 

While Slater notes that the Warriors are "not actively" shopping guard Jordan Poole, he and every other player on the roster sans Curry are apparently available in trade talks this offseason.

With long-time general manager Bob Myers out of the picture, the new-look Warriors organization appears keen on reshuffling their roster around No. 30 while simultaneously trimming their payroll. As things currently stand, the Warriors projected payroll for the 2023-24 season would check in at north of $201M — the most in basketball per HoopsHype.  

Veteran mainstays Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been floated as potential departures in recent months, with the Los Angeles Lakers rumored as a possible destination. However, the 23-year-old Poole remains the most logical player to be dealt in the event of a roster reshuffle.

While he took a step back in the efficiency department, Poole actually put forth his most prolific season to date in 2022-23, averaging career bests in points (20.4) and assists (4.5). Of course, his showing this postseason certainly didn't do his stock any favors, as his scoring average fell by 10.1 PPG while his shooting percentage from three checked in at just 25.4%.
