Kenny Pickett quickly developing chemistry with veteran WR

The Steelers have had themselves a very busy offseason building around second-year QB Kenny Pickett, and he's already developed a special connection with one of his newest weapons.

"I love Allen [Robinson II], man," Pickett said. "He shows up every day with the mindset that he wants to work and get better. If you have that, you're gonna get there sooner or later, definitely sooner with him. With his work ethic and how much communication he has with myself and the stuff that we're doing when no one's watching or something like that, I think those things go a long way. So, we'll get caught up quickly, and I think we're pretty much close to being there."

Pittsburgh acquired Robinson for almost nothing, swapping seventh-round picks with the Rams in the 2023 NFL Draft. Los Angeles also agreed to pay $10 million of the veteran wide receiver's $15 million contract this season.

It may turn out to be the steal of the offseason. One NFL analyst certainly thinks so.

"They're gonna make a lot of people wish they had taken a closer look and tried to get Allen Robinson," NBC Sports' Mike Florio stated.

Robinson didn't have the year he was hoping for in 2022, which is likely why his price was so cheap. He had just 33 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games.

However, if the 29-year-old can stay healthy and return to form in 2023, the Steelers will have gotten an absolute steal. One man's trash is another man's treasure, right?
