Watch: Brutal missed pass interference costs Oklahoma Bedlam game

Saturday was the last game in the Bedlam rivalry for the foreseeable future, and it was Oklahoma State coming away with a narrow 27-24 win over Oklahoma to hand the Sooners their second loss of the season.

Oklahoma State might have a missed pass interference call late in the game to thank for that win.

Or at least helping to position it for the win.

With just around five minutes to play in the fourth quarter and the Sooners trailing by six points, Drake Stoops nearly hauled in a circus touchdown catch that could have positioned his team to take a late lead.

But in the process of trying to make that catch he appeared to be tackle in the end zone long before the ball arrived on what looked to be a clear pass interference penalty.

Well, it was not so clear to the officials as no penalty was called on the play.

Have a look.

That looks a lot like pass interference.

It would turn out to be a significant non-call as Oklahoma had to settle for a field goal on that drive and was never able to get back into position to take the lead.

The Bedlam rivalry has been played since 1904 but has an uncertain future as Oklahoma is leaving the Big 12 for the SEC at the start of the 2024 season.
