Watch: Obi Toppin goes between his legs on breakaway dunk against former team

The No. 8 overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft by the Knicks went between his legs on a breakaway "Eastbay" jam to give Indiana a seven-point lead, 84-77, in the third quarter of Game 1 in a second-round series against New York.

Toppin was at the right place at the right time when backup guard T.J. McConnell stripped Knicks guard Jalen Brunson. The ball bounced to Toppin, who dribbled past Knicks forward Josh Hart before throwing down the slam.

Toppin was traded to the Pacers this past offseason following three years in New York. The Knicks dealt him for two measly second-round picks in 2028 and 2029.

He was a solid bench player for the Pacers throughout the year, appearing in all 82 games (including 28 starts) and averaging career-highs in minutes (21.1), points (10.3), rebounds (3.9) and assists (1.6) per game while shooting a career-best 57.3 percent from the field and 40.3 percent from deep.

Toppin never latched on with the Knicks, but he just gave them a devastating reminder of the kind of talent they let leave for pennies.
