Two NFL teams are underdogs in every game this coming season

The Carolina Panthers were the worst team in the NFL in 2023 at 2-15 while the New England Patriots tied for the league's second-worst record at 4-13.

If the oddsmakers at DraftKings Sportsbook are correct, both squads could endure another rough campaign in 2024.

Following Wednesday night's league-wide schedule release, the Panthers and the Patriots are the only two teams in the NFL to be underdogs in each of their 17 games, as relayed by Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

Per Smith's report, the Patriots are currently underdogs by as much as 11.5 points (Week 4 on the road vs. the San Francisco 49ers) and as few as two points (Week 13 at home vs. the Indianapolis Colts).

Carolina, meanwhile, is facing its longest odds as seven-point underdogs in Week 12 at home against the Kansas City Chiefs and in Week 14 on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Panthers are just one-point underdogs in three different home contests (Week 9 vs. New Orleans Saints, Week 10 vs. New York Giants, Week 16 vs. Arizona Cardinals).

While both teams are current underdogs in every contest, it's unlikely that either would finish 0-17.

Coincidentally, Carolina is tied for the third-easiest schedule in 2024, as its opponents had a .467 winning percentage last season. One thing that may work against New England, though, is that they are set to travel the fourth-most number of miles during its season at 25,071.

Another scheduling quirk for the Panthers and Patriots includes the former being the only team without any primetime games all season, while the latter only has one.
