Donovan Mitchell responded on Thursday to a negative report about him.
Mitchell’s Cleveland Cavaliers went 48-34 in the regular season to earn the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference. They were eliminated after they lost to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their conference semifinal playoff series on Wednesday. Since then, there has been plenty of fallout about the Cavs.
A report published on Thursday said that Mitchell grew frustrated with some of his younger teammates.
Later in the day, Mitchell responded to the report. He shared a “cap” emoji, which is slang for calling the report a lie.
“Yeah aight I’m sick of yall sometimes!” Mitchell wrote on X.

Throughout 82 regular-season games plus two playoff series, players will likely get frustrated with everyone on the team. Maybe Mitchell is saying that these issues are being overblown, or just entirely false.
Regardless, there has been tons of drama surrounding the Cavs since their playoff exit. There is talk about coach J.B. Bickerstaff’s job status, as well as rumors that some Cavs players might want out.
Mitchell is under contract for one more season. There would be no shortage of teams interested in pursuing him if he were to become available.
