Watch: Chelsea's Moises Caicedo scores incredible goal vs. A.F.C. Bournemouth

Midfielder Moises Caicedo's first goal with Chelsea was an absolute stunner.

At the 16-minute mark in Chelsea's match against A.F.C Bournemouth, Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto drifted too far from the goal line and failed to push the ball farther downfield, setting up a wide-open shot for Caicedo at the halfway line and giving Chelsea a 1-0 lead.

Per goal.com, Caicedo's goal (50.5 yards) was the furthest scored in a Premier League matchup since former Everton star Wayne Rooney scored a 57.7-yard goal against West Ham in November 2017.

Last summer, 22-year-old Caicedo transferred from Brighton to Chelsea for a record fee of $147M, signing an eight-year, $62.4M deal.

However, Caicedo struggled to meet expectations this season. Entering the match, he had only four assists and 48 fouls committed in 32 starts. He recently admitted that the contract affected his psyche at the beginning of the season.

"At first it was difficult for me," Caicedo told ESPN's Adriana Garcia. "I wasn't enjoying it because I felt a little pressure because of what I cost and because the team hasn't done well. Now I'm doing it, I think in this second part of the Premier League, I'm doing it, I'm enjoying it."

The big goal could boost Caicedo's confidence and help him rebound after returning from his summer break.
