Mavs' Luka Doncic ‘available’ for Game 3 despite knee soreness
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is "available" for Sunday's Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves after briefly being listed as questionable with knee soreness.

Mavericks coach Jason Kidd told reporters about two hours before the game that Doncic was fighting soreness in his right knee, which he sprained during the team's first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Doncic also has left ankle soreness.

After Kidd said the team would see how Doncic does in warmups, the Mavs' official PR account revealed about an hour before the home game that Doncic is available, while Maxi Kleber (shoulder) and Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) are out.

Doncic is averaging 28.0 points, 9.4 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game in these playoffs and capped a triple-double in Friday's Game 2 by draining the game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds. That gave the Mavericks a 2-0 series lead as they headed home to Dallas.
