Brown’s three-pointer was ruled to have still been in his hand when the shot clock buzzer sounded. The officials wiped out the three points and Indiana took a bigger lead.
But he got the three points back almost immediately, grabbing an offensive rebound and making a three-pointer off the extra possession. He also — inadvertently or not — figured out how to slow down McConnell. By hitting in the face.
Pacers fans were FURIOUS that Jaylen Brown wasn’t assessed a flagrant for this hard foul on TJ McConnell.

McConnell stayed in the game after the refs ruled the contact a common foul, and then he subsequently missed his next shot and came out of the game. Replay reviews cost Jaylen Brown a three-pointer, but they gave him a free shot to the face.
Things balanced out. Except for McConnell.
