Stars forward Joe Pavelski blew up Perry with a hit he never saw coming. After stretching out to make a pass, Pavelski caught him with a clean hit, forcing Perry to fall awkwardly to the ice.
Scratched for four straight games, Perry returned to the Edmonton lineup for Game 4, registering an assist and three hits over 13:20 of ice time.
After the big hit on Perry, the tide turned the Oilers' way.
Edmonton entered the first intermission with a 1-0 lead over the Stars thanks to a power-play tally from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins at 14:09.

The Oilers would ride that momentum into the second, notching two goals over the first 5:09 of the period.
First, Nugent-Hopkins would record his second goal on the man advantage, scoring at 1:05, giving Edmonton a two-goal advantage.
