Chicago Sky guard refuses to answer questions on Caitlin Clark incident

Chennedy Carter refused to answer questions about her incident with Caitlin Clark that took place during the third quarter of the Indiana Fever’s 71-70 win over the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday.

Carter knocked Clark to the ground on a non-basketball play late in the third quarter following some trash talk exchanged between the players over the course of a few possessions. Carter was called for a foul on the play but did not receive any further discipline.

After the game, Carter refused to talk about the matter.

“I ain’t answering no Caitlin Clark questions,” Carter said when speaking with the media.

Carter also lied and said she didn’t say anything to Clark, even though videos very clearly show she yelled at Clark prior to the incident.

Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon then stepped in and shut down the matter.

“That’s enough. We’re good,” Weatherspoon said of the questions about the incident.

Carter led her team with 19 points in 30 minutes during the game, but her accountability afterwards was lacking.
