Chicago Sky rookie forward Angel Reese received her first career ejection during her team's 88-75 loss to the New York Liberty on Tuesday night.
Earlier in the day, fans of Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball (cautiously) rejoiced, as the latest injury news on the former No. 2 overall pick brought optimism for his status during the upcoming season.
Ball attended his first WNBA game on Tuesday night, and when Reese was tossed, he took to social media to defend the former LSU star. Ball even offered to pay whatever fine may be coming Reese's way.

The Sky lefty was sent to the showers following a double technical after waving her arm at an official to argue a foul call against her on Liberty forward Jonquel Jones.
Lead official Maj Forsberg told a pool reporter following the contest that Reese's first technical was for "disrespectfully" addressing official Charles Watson and the second one was for waving her hand "in resentment" to the first call.
"Since these were two separate acts, the combination of two technicals resulted in Angel Reese being ejected from the game," Forsberg said in the pool report, according to The Athletic.

Ball hasn't played in an NBA game since Jan. 14, 2022, due to chronic knee issues. Reese was a sophomore at Maryland during the 2021-22 season and was still months away from transferring to Baton Rouge.
She's had a solid start to her WNBA career, averaging nearly a double-double of 10.9 points and 9.0 rebounds in 28.0 minutes per contest across eight games.
