With his innovative play calling and quirky personality , Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has been seen as one of the most creative minds in the NFL since he entered the league.
The franchise's drought without a playoff victory is nearing a quarter century this fall and McDaniel has found a unique way to remind players of the task at hand.
Talk about doing things with intent…

Mike McDaniel said his staff schedules meeting at times that end in “24” (3:24, 5:24, 7:24, etc.) to represent the 24 years it’s been since the Dolphins have won a playoff game
Miami hoping to snap that drought in 2024
The Dolphins have the longest current drought without a postseason win in the NFL.
While Miami hasn't won a playoff game since January 2001, the New York Jets haven't even made the tournament since the 2010 season. That's the longest in the NFL.
With the New England Patriots in rebuild mode, the Buffalo Bills trading star wideout Stefon Diggs and losing others in the offseason and the Jets relying on the return of 40-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers from a significant injury, some think that this is the Dolphins' best chance to finally end their misery.
This offseason, the Dolphins did release cornerback Xavien Howard in March, but signed former Pro Bowl and All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer less than one week after the Bills cut him. The Dolphins additionally added wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to an already stacked offense that includes quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, stud wideouts Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, a two-headed rushing attack with De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert and a Pro Bowl anchor on the line in left tackle Terron Armstead.
