On Sunday, the New York Mets avoided a sweep in the London Series against the Philadelphia Phillies thanks to a rally in the ninth inning.
Trailing 4-3 in the top of the ninth, the Mets scored three runs against Phillies pitcher Jose Alvarado, who blew his second save in 13 chances.
Mets third baseman Mark Vientos hit an RBI single, first baseman Pete Alonso forced in a run after Alvarado hit his thigh and Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto allowed a passed-ball run, giving New York a 6-4 lead.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, Mets catcher Luis Torrens turned a slow roller from right fielder Nick Castellanos into a double play, sealing a 6-5 victory.

The Mets (28-36) have failed to meet expectations this season and are fourth in the National League East. However, owner Steve Cohen insists New York won't be a seller before the trade deadline on July 30.
"I know everybody's focused on the trade deadline. That's all anybody wants to talk about," Cohen said Sunday, via the Associated Press. "We've got a lot of games to play. Let's get focused on what's happening now. We've got to chip away."
The Mets have won four of their last five games, but an in-season turnaround still seems unlikely. FanGraphs Baseball gives them a 13.2 percent chance to make the playoffs.
