Alabama lands four-star 2025 OT, lifting class to No. 3 nationally

Jackson Lloyd boasts nearly 20 offers and at 6-foot-7, 290 pounds, the rising senior can basically name his school of choice as a recruit.

Even in the post-Nick Saban era, is it any surprise that he's chosen the Alabama Crimson Tide?

Head coach Kalen DeBoer hasn't even coached a down yet for the Tide, but he's already found a ton of success on the recruiting trail — picking up right where Saban left off.

Lloyd, ranked as the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2025 class, per 247Sports, announced his commitment to Alabama on Tuesday.

As to why he committed, it still comes down to that winning culture that Saban created and DeBoer inherited.

"What stood out most at Alabama was their winning culture and doing everything to be the best," he told 247Sports.

It also helps that DeBoer and his staff recruited Lloyd while they were still at Washington.

"The facilities were incredible, they have seemingly thought of everything. You can definitely tell that the University of Alabama loves their football program and invests heavily into them," Lloyd explained. "Alabama is like the best there is. I love the coaching staff. the whole coaching staff, I have been talking to them since Washington. I just love them. All the stuff they have there, like I said, it's like the best there is."

DeBoer's 2025 class is now ranked third in the nation behind only Ohio State and Notre Dame.
