At least four of those Lamar fans — Westbrook, DeRozan, James and Harden — have critical decisions to make about their NBA futures over the next few weeks as they approach free agency. While James is widely expected to remain with the Lakers, Westbrook, DeRozan and Harden could be playing for different teams for the 2024-25 season.
According to The Chicago Tribune, the Bulls are torn on the idea of bringing DeRozan back as they prepare to enter an extended rebuilding period.
As for Harden, the Clippers and the former MVP have a "mutual interest" in continuing their partnership, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. However, the final decision could come down to Harden's asking price.
The NBA's free agency period officially gets underway on June 30.
