Eugenio Suarez was already perhaps the hottest commodity on the market ahead of Major League Baseball’s July 31 trade deadline, and that price is likely rising. After going 1-for-3 with a walk in the Arizona Diamondbacks first game back from the All-Star Break, he bashed five home runs in the next three games. The coveted third baseman hit two in back-to-back wins against the St. Louis Cardinals while managing just a measly one in a 6-3 loss to the Houston Astros. The New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners and Chicago Cubs have all been linked to 34 year old with 36 home runs so far in 2025.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Suarez has quietly been one of the most consistent hitters of the past decade, surpassing 30 home runs six times in the last seven full MLB seasons and mashing a career-high 49 in 2019. With that being said, can you name the last player to hit 40 home runs in one season for each MLB team?
Good luck!
