Nebraska football fans like head coach Matt Rhule. They'll like him even more once he starts winning in a major way.
But on Tuesday, at Big Ten Media Days, Rhule went viral again, in a good way, for his response to the comments made by former head coach Scott Frost, the man Rhule replaced after the 2022 season.
The UCF head coach lit a fire among the Nebraska fanbase earlier this month, at Big 12 Media Days, when he said the thing he learned from his time in Lincoln was, "don't take the wrong job."
Rhule was asked about the comments made by Frost and replied in what was essentially a four-minute monologue.
Matt Rhule gives a 4-minute answer on Scott Frost's comments regarding the Nebraska coaching job. Fascinating stuff.

"I can't imagine what that feels like for him," Rhule said on Frost getting fired from the in-state program via Kevin Sjuts. "And I'll say this: This (Nebraska) was not a good job when I got here. We were behind on NIL. Everything was behind.
"I can't talk about his time," Rhule added. "But this wasn't a good job. It wasn't a good job. We've made it a good job. We're about to make it a great job."
Rhule has posted a 12-13 record in his first two seasons, but Nebraska did win its first bowl game since 2015 in December. The 2024 season was also the first winning season for the Huskers since 2016.
With former five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola entering his second season as a starter, and Rhule's third-year track record of drastically improving college programs, Nebraska is a trendy pick to make a big jump.
Nebraska may not have been a great fit for Frost, but it feels perfect for Rhule. And after a decade of suffering, it feels like the Huskers are finally on their way back.
