Ty Majeski overcomes pit road penalty to win Truck Series race at Richmond

Lady Luck may have been against Ty Majeski on Saturday night, but the Seymour, Wisconsin, native carved his way through the pack after a penalty and staved off multiple challengers late to win his second consecutive Truck Series race.

On a late restart, it was Majeski who went from third to the lead in one corner, and the No. 98 Ford F-150 had enough speed in it to hang on for the race's final run.

The win is the second of the 2024 season for Majeski and the fifth of his Truck Series career.

Polesitter Christian Eckes finished second, with Taylor Gray, Grant Enfinger and Layne Riggs rounding out the top five. Tyler Ankrum and Ben Rhodes finished sixth and seventh, respectively, with Daniel Dye, Ty Dillon and Connor Hall rounding out the top 10.

With his eighth-place finish, Dye clinched the 10th and final spot in the 2024 Craftsman Truck Series playoffs over Tanner Gray, who finished 12th after falling back on a late restart. Dye is the first driver in Truck Series history to point his way into the playoffs in the regular-season finale after coming into the race outside of the postseason picture.

Other notable finishers in Saturday's race include Matt Crafton in 15th, Corey Heim in 16th, Rajah Caruth in 17th, Stewart Friesen in 25th and Connor Zilisch in 29th.

The Truck Series' next race will be the Truck Series playoff opener at the Milwaukee Mile on Aug. 25. The LiUNA! 175 will go green shortly after 4 p.m. ET on Aug. 25, with coverage provided on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
