Watch: Yankees' trio does something team last did in 2020

On Sunday against the Colorado Rockies, the Bronx Bombers were operating at maximum power.

Leading 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Yankees slugger Juan Soto hit a 418-foot home run to right center field off Rockies relief pitcher Jeff Criswell. Aaron Judge followed it up with a 377-foot homer. Then, to top it off, designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton hit a 425-foot moonshot.

According to MLB's X account, New York last hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in 2020. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes — who says he isn't a Yankees fan — admitted the home run trifecta impressed him.

Unsurprisingly, the Yankees crushed the Rockies 10-3. New York (77-54) is in a tight American League East race with the Baltimore Orioles (76-55) and must continue to stack victories to win the division.

The win against Colorado highlights why the Yankees' lineup can be one of the most potent in baseball. They're tied with the Orioles for the most home runs (198) in the major leagues and are second in RBI (636) behind the Arizona Diamondbacks (661).

Judge leads baseball in home runs (51 in 129 games) and only needs 11 to tie the American League record he set in 2022 (62 in 157 games).
