Chelsea Gray climbs up to 8th all-time in assists
Patrick Breen/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Chelsea Gray was solid all around for the Aces in their 77-75 win against the Sky, finishing with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and no turnovers. With those seven assists, Chelsea Gray moved up to eighth place all-time, passing Cappie Pondexter.

Next on the list is her former teammate Candace Parker, who has 53 assists more than Chelsea Gray, followed by her head coach Becky Hammon, who has 127 assists more. Gray will most likely pass Parker with 11 games left in the regular season. To pass Hammon this season, she would need to average about 12 assists per game.

Gray’s playmaking abilities has contributed significantly to the Aces offense since her return from injury. The playmaking ability was on full display against the Sky, as she made a great pass on the inbounds play to A’ja Wilson, who scored the game-winning shot.

Gray will aim to climb up the All-Time assist list when the Aces return to play Tuesday against the Dallas Wings.
