Lake Mary, Florida won the 2024 Little League World Series on Sunday with a thrilling, 2-1, extra-innings win over Taiwan in the championship game.
The winning play was a chaotic walk-off bunt that saw Taiwan throw the ball away when nobody was covering first base.
Lake Mary's Hunter Alexander put down what was supposed to be a sacrifice bunt, resulting in some miscommunication from the infielders that resulted in this:

Probably not how Florida drew it up, but sometimes small ball can still work when it puts that much pressure on the defense. Also, that might be one of the most crushing ways a team can lose a championship game.
This is the sixth consecutive tournament that has been won by a team from the United States.
