It is easy to get lost in hyperbole just two weeks into the football season, and things like "catch of the year" can get thrown around a little too loosely.
But sometimes the reactions can be legit, and that might be the case with USC wide receiver Kyron Hudson who may have already delivered one of the best catches of the college football season when he channeled his inner Odell Beckham Jr. and made a jaw-dropping one-handed catch over several LSU defenders on Sunday night.

It does not get much better than that.
The play was reviewed to make sure Hudson maintained control and possession of the ball, and after replay it was determined that the call on the field would stand.
That catch was very reminiscent of a similar one-handed grab that Odell Beckham Jr. made during a prime football game a few years ago as a member of the New York Giants. You remember the play.
This Odell Beckham Jr catch happened 8 and a half years ago.

Hudson's catch was followed by an LSU defensive pass interference penalty that set the Trojans up with a first-and-goal at the two-yard line. Running back Woody Marks followed that with a two-yard touchdown run for the first points of the game.
