College football bowl projections: Brett McMurphy’s Week 2 predictions, College Football Playoff picks

My preseason bowl projections were so “popular” that several people reached out.

One friend suggested if I was confident Tennessee would play in the Las Vegas Bowl, as I projected, I should bet my entire 401(k) on Tennessee finishing with less than nine wins. Unfortunately, I’ve already put it all on Colorado to win the national title at 200-1 odds.

Another friend thought so much of my projected 12-team College Football Playoff field that he wanted to bet at least six of my teams wouldn’t make the playoff. There’s a lot of Waffle House waffles in store for whoever loses.

Anyway, I know what you’re thinking: there’s no way I have two friends.
