Minnesota Twins outfielder Trevor Larnach knocked one out of the park for a three-run home run in the top of the second inning of the team's 5-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night at Tropicana Field.
Larnach's go-ahead shot, with an exit velocity of 112.5 mph, also knocked out a fan who was trying to catch the home run with his bare hands.
We're told the fan that got hit by this baseball is all right, and Larnach even brought the fan and his kids down to the field to make sure he was all right. Gave them a bat and signed the ball.

Larnach said in a postgame interview with Audra Martin of Bally Sports North that the incident was "scary" and that he had "never seen that before."

"I'm willing to bet you have a new fan though, so, well done," Martin said.
"Yeah, it's an interesting way to make one, but, yeah," Larnach replied.
The 2018 first-round pick's three RBI on Monday increase his career-high total to 48, which is tied for fifth on the team. Larnach is also tied for third on the Twins with 32 walks (career-high) and fifth in home runs (career-high 15).
The 27-year-old has played in a career-most 93 games in 2024 thus far, leading to high marks in nearly every offensive category, including his .254/.329/.454 slash line.
According to a report by Dan Hayes of The Athletic, Larnach's home run hit the fan "in the nose, instantly knocking him backward and causing a nosebleed."
