The public scrambled to get their Jordan Mason props in after word broke that Christian McCaffrey would be a surprise inactive against the Jets.
There was significant movement with the running back set to make his first career start in place of the reigning Offensive Player of the Year. His odds for an anytime touchdown moved from +650 to +150 at DraftKings while oddsmakers set new odds for rush attempts and receptions. He was priced at 12.5 carries with the over at -130 and under +100. Meanwhile, he was +140 to catch over 2.5 passes and -190 to go under.
So, how did it all play out?

It turns out those who believed in the 49ers’ backup mostly cleaned up in San Francisco's 32-19 win.
The 49ers fed Mason all night long as he ran all over the Jets, carrying the ball 28 times for 147 yards. He hit his props before the fourth quarter even began with 22 carries for 110 yards. He also found paydirt midway through the third quarter on a five-yard run up the gut. It was a relief for those holding anytime touchdown tickets after he had an untouched 17-yard touchdown run called back in the second quarter on a holding penalty.

It wasn’t a clean sweep for Mason supporters, though, as he wasn’t all that involved in the passing game. He finished with just one catch for five yards.
The big question now is McCaffrey's status for next week's game against the Vikings. If not, Mason will get another chance to show what he can do as the team's workhorse.
