Detroit Lions third-year edge-rusher Aidan Hutchinson is wrecking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense.
In the first quarter against the Buccaneers, Hutchinson had three sacks and forced a fumble that Tampa Bay recovered.
According to the Lions public relations team, since 1994, only three other players have produced three sacks in the first quarter (Chandler Jones, Chris Clemons and Simeon Rice). It added the 24-year-old now has three games with three or more sacks, the third most in franchise history.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media noted former Kansas City Chiefs star and Pro Football Hall of Famer Derrick Thomas set the single-game sack record (seven) on Nov. 11, 1990. Hutchinson probably won't pass that mark unless the Buccaneers fail to make adjustments.
Regardless, Hutchinson is cementing his reputation as one of the best pass-rushers in the league. Since being drafted No. 2 overall in 2022, the former Michigan Wolverine has 22 sacks and 73 solo tackles in 35 games.
