Retired former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel shared a bold three-team trade proposal on Wednesday that could solve the Dolphins' QB crisis.
Daniel suggests Miami trade for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, while Los Angeles would receive Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, who was benched on Monday.
Carolina would add the Dolphins' 2025 second-round pick and the Rams' 2025 third-rounder for playing along.
I propose a 3 team trade:

▪️Rams get Bryce Young
▪️Dolphins get Matthew Stafford
▪️Panthers get Dolphins 2nd & Rams 3rd rounder

All three teams could benefit from such a transaction.
The Dolphins need a quarterback after Tua Tagovailoa suffered his third concussion since 2022 in Week 2 against the Bills, placing him on injured reserve and putting his future in doubt.
As for the Panthers, after declaring Andy Dalton the team's starting quarterback in Week 3, moving on from Young and acquiring draft capital might be the best thing for both sides. As ugly as Carolina's present is, it might as well look toward the future.
The same can be said of the Rams, who are in for a long season with injuries already mounting.
Wide receivers Puka Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle) are out, and the offensive line is a mess with five members of the unit on injured reserve, including starting guards Jonah Jackson and Steve Avila.
Stafford, 36, deserves better at this stage of his career than the Rams' mummified corpse.
He would likely thrive in Miami with its elite wide receiver talent, including Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Financially, the Dolphins should be able to make the move work. As Daniel noted in an additional post, Stafford has only $4 million in guaranteed money for 2025.
The season is over for the Rams with no offensive weapons.

Consensus around the league is that Stafford is still a Top 8 QB & after this year only due $4m roster bonus. Why not sell high? Rams start over.
If the Dolphins think they are good then why not trade for him?
Rams head coach Sean McVay would get the opportunity to salvage Young's career, which is undoubtedly the short straw in this scenario.
But if the Rams are going to be bad regardless of who's quarterback, taking a flier on a former No. 1 overall pick could be a win-win proposition. Either he succeeds — as former Panthers quarterbacks Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and head coach Matt Rhule have after fleeing for greener pastures — or he has the Rams challenging the Panthers for the first pick in the 2025 draft.
Daniel's proposal has several variables. Tagovailoa could get a clean bill of health and return in five weeks. His backup, Skylar Thompson, could fare better than he did as a rookie, eliminating the need for a new quarterback altogether.
Los Angeles could defy the odds, weather its injury bug and be a playoff threat by the time Nacua and Kupp can return.
The Panthers...well, they'll still stink.
But plenty of moving parts must be fastened before this potential blockbuster trade idea can become a reality.
That doesn't make it any less fun to consider.
