New York Jets fans had high expectations for quarterback Aaron Rodgers a year ago. Then his season ended in four plays due to an Achilles injury, putting all of their plans on hold.
His debut in front of the home fans at MetLife Stadium in 2024 is off to a much better start.
Rodgers threw his first touchdown pass in front of the home fans — and his fourth touchdown of the season — on Thursday night against the New England Patriots, capping off an eight-play, 73-yard drive to give them a 7-0 lead.
The touchdown was a 10-yard pass to his former long-time Green Bay teammate, Allan Lazard.

The return of Rodgers definitely gives the Jets a chance this season, but there are still going to be some questions about a 40-year-old quarterback coming off an injury like that.
So far, Rodgers has looked like he has a chance to finally solve their quarterback problem. That would definitely put the Jets back into the playoff picture in the AFC this season.
