The Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) defeated the Los Angeles Chargers (2-1) 20-10 in what was a highly defensive battle from the start.
Here are the five biggest takeaways from the Steelers' third straight win to begin the season.
1) Quarterback Justin Fields has done enough to remain the starter
Once again, Fields did exactly what Pittsburgh asked of him, completing 25-of-32 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown.
He also used his legs on a five-yard rushing touchdown.
It remains to be seen whether veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, who's been sidelined with a calf injury, will be healthy enough to play next week.
However, even if he is, the Steelers should stick with Fields until he proves otherwise.
Much of the criticism surrounding Fields in the first three years of his NFL career has been turning the football over.
He did throw his first interception of the season on Sunday, but it was off a tipped ball and was his first in 115 pass attempts and 80 completions, which ranked eighth and tied for sixth, respectively, among active QBs.
2) Steelers need to give wide receiver Roman Wilson a shot
Pittsburgh decided to enter Sunday's game with just four wide receivers: George Pickens, Van Jefferson, Calvin Austin III and Scotty Miller.
However, that quickly turned into three when Jefferson suffered an eye injury in the first half.
Rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson, who's been recovering from an ankle injury, looked like he was ready to make his NFL debut, but he was a healthy scratch.
It's time to give the rookie a chance to prove himself as depth seems to be a growing issue.
3) Linebacker Patrick Queen is hitting his stride
Queen was all over the field from the first snap of the game when he laid a big hit on his former teammate, running back J.K. Dobbins.
He finished the day with a team-leading eight tackles and one pass defensed, and he should have added an interception to his stat line at the end of the first half.
The three-year, $41 million contract Pittsburgh gave Queen this offseason is starting to pay dividends.
4) Linebacker Nick Herbig is the real deal
Injuries continued to pile up for the Steelers in Week 3. Among them, was linebacker Alex Highsmith, who was ruled out after suffering a groin injury in the second quarter.
However, that provided an opportunity for Herbig, a fourth-round pick by Pittsburgh in 2023, and he took full advantage.
In the third quarterback, Herbig got around offensive tackle Rashawn Slater and made a strip sack. The Chargers did recover the fumble but it forced them to punt in a close game.
Herbig didn't stop there. He recorded his second sack of the day late in the fourth quarter.
Herbig had a strong showing in the preseason and proved once again why he deserves more reps during the regular season. He may just get that wish if Highsmith is sidelined past this week.
5) Steelers still trying to find best offensive line combo
Just one week after Pittsburgh decided to rotate offensive tackles Troy Fautanu and Broderick Jones, it did the same at left guard this week.
On the Steelers' final offensive drive of the first half, they replaced left guard Spencer Anderson with fourth-round rookie Mason McCormick.
McCormick looked good in his limited action, but Anderson was back in the lineup to open the second half.
The job will be veteran Isaac Seumalo's when he's healthy, but when that will be is still unknown as he continues to recover from a pec injury. So let the offensive line carousel continue to go around.
