Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf had a monster first quarter in Sunday’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
The 26-year-old wideout only had two catches but he made both of them count.
His first came midway through the quarter when he nabbed a 19-yard catch down the right sideline that set the Seahawks up with a first-and-goal inside the 5-yard line. Seattle capitalized moments later on a Zach Charbonnet four-yard touchdown run that put the team up 10-0.
Then as the quarter expired, Metcalf raced through the Dolphins secondary, getting behind the defensive backs and hauling in a 71-yard touchdown as he outraced everyone to the end zone.

It’s the second straight week Metcalf had a touchdown grab of 50 yards or longer and the second straight game he had 90 or more yards receiving after logging just three catches for 29 yards in Seattle’s season opener.
Metcalf entered the week ranked 12th in receiving yards (158) and tied for 13th in receptions (13). His 71-yard touchdown is the third longest reception of the NFL season behind Justin Jeferson (97 yards) and Tyreek Hill (80 yards).
