No Deebo Samuel, no problem for the San Francisco 49ers.
With the All-Pro wideout out with a lingering calf injury, fifth-year WR Jauan Jennings stepped into a starting role Sunday and has put on a show at SoFi Stadium against the Los Angeles Rams.
Jennings, a seventh-round pick in 2020, snagged eight catches for 148 yards and three touchdowns through three quarters of Sunday’s matchup. His third TD of the evening may have been his most impressive.
After blowing past two Rams defenders, Jennings broke free down the left sideline where quarterback Brock Purdy hit him in stride for a 31-yard score.

It’s the second multi-touchdown game of Jennings’ career and his first three-touchdown performance.
It’s also Jennings’ first 100-yard game since joining the NFL, with his eight receptions a new career best and his nine targets also tying for a career high.
