How Bo Nix gave Broncos reason to celebrate in upset win over Bucs

Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix finally has reason to celebrate after leading the team to a surprising upset victory that could help build Denver's momentum.

Following a 26-7 Week 3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1), DNVR Sports posted a clip of Broncos players blasting music and dancing in the locker room.

"It was great," Nix said of the celebration in a postgame news conference, per DNVR Sports. "Before the game, we wanted to hear the music and have a party. We played motivated today. We went out there and executed at a high level. That's what it's supposed to feel like. You get back in the locker room, and everybody is excited."

Against Tampa Bay, Nix completed 25-of-36 passes for 216 yards and logged a season-high 80.6 QBR, above the league average. He also rushed for 47 yards and one touchdown on nine carries.

"I think we got to see a really good glimpse of the potential of where [Nix] can take this offense and where we can go with him at the helm," Broncos WR Courtland Sutton said in a postgame news conference

The Broncos (1-2) are third in the AFC West and have plenty of work to do on the offensive side of the ball.

Nix leads the team in rushing yards (107 on 18 carries), and Broncos RBs Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin, Audric Estime and Tyler Badie have combined for one rushing TD through three games.

Per Pro Football Reference, the Broncos have averaged 4.1 yards after the catch, 30th in the NFL. This could be one reason Nix has yet to throw a passing TD and is tied for 17th in the league in passing yards (600).

Still, Nix showing why the Broncos drafted him with the 12th overall pick is an encouraging sign for Denver. If he becomes the face of the franchise, the team could have more postgame celebrations in the future.
