Packers QB Jordan Love says he's getting better every day

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love practiced again on Thursday, though it's worth noting that he was limited.

His status for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings is still up in the air, but Love is making it seem like he's getting closer and closer by the practice.

“Yeah, we’re building it up, for sure,” he said after Thursday's practice, according to Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated. “It’s kind of just based on how I’m feeling and basing off of practice today, how I’m feeling, and going from there.”

On Wednesday, Love took two out of every four reps during a drill period open to the media. That same drill happened on Thursday, and he sat out completely while backup Malik Willis took all the reps.

That happened because, according to head coach Matt LaFleur, Love is still on limited status in practice.

That doesn't mean he won't play against the 3-0 Vikings on Sunday, but it's also worth noting that the 2-1 Packers are 2-0 with Willis running the offense. The Vikings' defense presents a greater challenge than the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans, but Willis has proven to be able to lead the Packers while Love heals up.

Still, Love seems to be well on his way toward playing as well as his knee continues to handle practice well.

“I feel like I’m getting better every day, moving around, getting out there practicing and feeling better,” he said. "That judgment “comes down to running in practice, doing the drill work in practice, things like that, and just having a feel for my body.”
