Bills see NFL-record streak snapped in loss to overpowering Ravens

The Buffalo Bills are statistically good at keeping games close. Sunday night, however, they did anything but.

In a 35-10 thumping, the Baltimore Ravens (1-2) welcomed undefeated Buffalo (3-0) into M&T Bank Stadium and dropped the largest margin of victory (25 points) the Bills have suffered since Nov. 21, 2021.

On that date the Indianapolis Colts defeated Buffalo by a 41-15 score (36 point difference). Since then, Buffalo had managed to not lose a game by more than six points for an NFL-record 43-week regular-season streak until it ran into Baltimore's buzzsaw on Sunday.

Ravens running back Derrick Henry stampeded all over Buffalo's defense, racking up 199 yards and two total touchdowns on the night — including this 87-yard dash to the house to get things started.

That touchdown run was the longest in franchise history and definitely set the early tone.

But Bills quarterback Josh Allen looked like he was about to captain a major push back at Baltimore's 21-10 lead in the second half, creating a rhythm with his receivers in lieu of a stumped run game.

A broken trick play in the third quarter resulted in Allen fumbling the ball and taking a hard hit deep at midfield and on the ensuing possession, Baltimore scored a touchdown that extended the lead to 28-10 and virtually iced the game.

Allen's 55.2 completion percentage and 73.9 passer rating were his worst since Week 16 last season, when he completed just half of his passes and earned a 53.3 grade in a 27-21 win over the New England Patriots. Allen was also sacked three times on Sunday night, the most he's had to endure since Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins.

Buffalo (now 3-1) will travel to Houston for a date with the Texans in Week 5 and look to rebound from its worst loss in nearly three seasons.
