Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff had a historic performance in the team's 42-29 "Monday Night Football" win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4.
The three-time Pro Bowler finished the victory a perfect 18-for-18 with 292 passing yards and two touchdowns while adding a seven-yard touchdown reception. Goff set the NFL record for most pass attempts without an incompletion in the process.
Still, the effort of the former No. 1 overall pick wasn't enough to earn him the game ball from head coach Dan Campbell.
After the win, the fourth-year coach admitted to reporters that he didn't realize how incredible of a game Goff had when deciding who to award the ball to.
Jamo and Kerby got the game balls. Campbell liked Jamo's blocking tonight and Kerby's game-sealing interception. https://t.co/ktVftFxwIN

The Detroit head coach went on to add, "I knew he played a heck of a game; I didn’t realize he was perfect."

Wide receiver Jameson Williams had just two catches on two targets, but one of his receptions went for a 70-yard touchdown.
Safety Kerby Joseph, meanwhile, posted a team-high nine tackles while adding one pass defended and a crucial interception of Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith with 1:06 left in the contest.
Goff will have to wait until at least mid-October for his next chance at earning a game ball, as the Lions have a Week 5 bye.
