Patrik Laine breaks his silence following devastating injury

Patrik Laine got injured on Saturday night during a game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Cedric Pare was the one who injured him, and it all looked pretty terrible. Since that time, fans have been waiting for bad news about Laine and whether or not he is going to be able to come back this season. Most thought he would be out for the year. However, it seems like he can return this season, but likely after Christmas and New Year's.

It was revealed that Laine sprained his knee which is a huge sigh of relief. This is especially true since most people thought his injury had to do with his ACL, which would have been nuclear levels of horrible luck on all fronts. Earlier today, Laine took to social media with a message for his fans.

'Thank you all for the love.

#92 will be back!'

This is the kind of thing that you absolutely love to see. Many people thought that Laine was down and out just a year ago. Perhaps then, an injury like this would have left him defeated. But it seems like he is more determined than ever before to show people that he can do anything he puts his mind to, regardless of how challenging.
