The Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets found themselves locked in a pitcher's duel in Game 3 of their National League wild-card series on Thursday night, going into the bottom of the seventh inning without a single run crossing the plate.
It did not take long for the Brewers to change that.
Pinch-hitter Jake Bauers opened up the bottom of the seventh inning by hitting a monster home run off Mets relief pitcher Jose Butto.

On the very next pitch, Sal Frelick hit another massive home run deep into the right field stands.

Prior to that at-bat, Frelick had hit just five home runs in 666 regular season at-bats over 202 career games. This season he hit only two home runs in 475 at-bats, and had not hit one since May 15. Power is simply not a part of his game.
On that at-bat, it was. He picked the perfect time of year to show it.
Mets starter Jose Quintana was brilliant over six innings, allowing no runs and only five base runners while striking out six batters. The Mets pulled him at 94 pitches.
