The Denver Broncos offense has been a mess for most of the 2024 NFL season as rookie quarterback Bo Nix goes through some growing pains.
On the other hand, the defense has been mostly outstanding and entered their Week 5 game against the Las Vegas Raiders as one of the best scoring units in the league.
On Sunday, they provided some points when star cornerback Patrick Surtain II picked off Gardner Minshew at the goal line and returned it 100 yards for a game-tying touchdown.
Have a look.

That is not the best decision from Minshew. His team was in a position to take a two-score lead, whether by field goal or touchdown, and instead turned it into seven points going the other way.
That is Surtain's second career touchdown, and his first since his rookie season.
The Broncos defense is one of the biggest reasons it entered the game 2-2 on the season, and plays like that are going to keep them competitive while Nix continues to adjust to the NFL.
