NBA championship odds: Boston Celtics favored to repeat

The Boston Celtics are favored to repeat and win the 2024-25 NBA Championship.

There hasn’t been a back-to-back NBA Champion since the Golden State Warriors did so in 2017 and ’18.

The Celtics are +310 to win the 2025 NBA Finals at DraftKings. DraftKings also has a special for the Celtics to win back-to-back titles. Although the futures market is at +310, the Celtics are +275 to go back-to-back in the specials market. There is a “no” option at -390.

If you are interested in betting on the Celtics to win three in a row, DraftKings has that at +1000. The “no” is at -2000.

This is the first time since the start of the 2020-21 NBA season that the defending champion is the favorite to repeat in the week before the season. There have been defending champions that have opened as the favorite to repeat, but throughout the offseason ended up sliding down the odds board.

The last team to be favored to repeat heading into the season was the Los Angeles Lakers after they won the NBA Championship in the COVID bubble. The next season started just a couple of months later.
