Watch: Mets SS Francisco Lindor hits grand slam to give New York lead over Phillies in NLDS Game 4

The Mets are closing in on a trip to the NLCS.

In the bottom of the sixth inning of Game 4 of the ALDS against the NL East-champion Phillies, Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor gave New York a 4-1 lead with a grand slam off reliever Carlos Estevez.

Lindor drove the 99 mph fastball left over the heart of the plate to deep right-center field.

Per Baseball Savant, the home run left his bat with an exit velocity of 109.5 mph and went 398 feet.

The four-time All-Star with the Guardians is in his fourth season with the Mets. He had arguably his best season with the franchise in 2024, hitting .273 with a .344 on-base percentage and .500 slugging percentage. He had 33 home runs and 73 total extra-base hits in 152 games.

New York (89-73) entered Wednesday's game a win away from moving on to the NLCS. And with Lindor's grand slam, it's only a few outs away from advancing to the National League Championship Series for the first time since 2015.

In the eighth inning, the Mets lead 4-1. According to ESPN's win probability chart, New York has a 97.8 percent chance of winning.
