Perhaps teams should start kicking away from Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Charlie Jones.
Against the Cleveland Browns, the second-year wideout out of Purdue returned the opening kickoff for a 100-yard touchdown. Per Ben Baby of ESPN, it was the Bengals' first kickoff return TD since Brandon Wilson had one against the New York Giants in 2020.

This isn't the first time Jones has ripped off a long TD. Last season, he returned a punt for an 81-yard TD in a 27-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The Bengals feature two star wide receivers in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Thus, Jones has yet to establish himself as a consistent pass-catcher. In his first six games this season, he had one reception for five yards.
Baby noted that the Bengals recently added him to their kickoff team. If Jones keeps making the most of this opportunity, he might become an effective return specialist for Cincinnati.
