Smith ran a simple go route, sprinting straight upfield untouched and catching the pass from Ohio State quarterback Will Howard in stride for the 60-yard score.
The freshman wideout has been outstanding this season, scoring a touchdown in each of his seven games.
Entering Week 9, Smith, the No. 1 overall recruit of the 2024 class, per 247Sports, had 32 receptions for 553 yards (17.3 yards per reception) and eight total touchdowns (seven receiving, one rushing).
Associated Press No. 4 Ohio State (5-1, 2-1 in Big Ten) leads Nebraska (5-2, 2-2 in Big Ten) 14-6 at halftime.
Saturday's game is the Buckeyes' first since losing at No. 1 Oregon (7-0, 4-0 in Big Ten) in Week 8, 32-31.
The passing attack has been sharp against the Cornhuskers, with quarterback Will Howard finishing the first half 9-of-9 for 167 yards (18.5 yards per attempt) and two touchdowns.
His biggest play came to Smith, who continues living up to the hype in only his seventh collegiate game.
