Watch: Sidney Crosby snaps Penguins losing streak with slick OT goal

The Pittsburgh Penguins are off to the worst start of the Sidney Crosby era and entered Thursday's game against the Anaheim Ducks with just three wins in their first 11 games. They were also on a six-game losing streak that kept getting uglier with each loss.

They snapped that streak on Thursday night with a 2-1 overtime win against the Ducks, and it was Crosby, their captain, playing a starring role in the win.

He scored both goals for the Penguins, including the game-winning goal in overtime on a very slick play.

Have a look:

After more than 15 years on top of the NHL with four Stanley Cup Final appearances and three Stanley Cup wins it was inevitable that the Penguins were eventually going to have some tough years as their core gets older. It appears they are at that point now.

After back-to-back non playoff seasons the Penguins look like they might have their worst team in years this season.

Their biggest hope is that veterans like Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang still have some magic left in them. Even though he is 37 years old Crosby is still one of the best players in hockey and showed it again here in this game and on this play.
