Jaxson Dart breaks 55-year-old Ole Miss record in win over Arkansas

The No. 19 Ole Miss Rebels may be on the wrong side of the College Football Playoff bubble, but that doesn't mean their offense isn't playing at a prolific level.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart threw for an eye-popping six touchdowns Saturday in the team's 63-31 destruction of Arkansas, racking up 562 yards of total offense and breaking a school record set by the great Archie Manning in 1969.

Entering Week 10, Dart had the third-most passing yards in the nation while leading the No. 13 scoring offense. Ole Miss came into the game averaging 39.5 points-per-game (although that mark is sure to go up after Saturday).

The Rebels also rank No. 2 in the FBS in total offense, averaging 7.53 yards-per-play and 538.1 yards-per-game.

Now at 7-2, Ole Miss is still clinging to an outside chance at the SEC Championship game. A lot will have to go its way over the next month, but with all but one team in the conference owning at least one loss, the door is still open.

Ole Miss will prepare to host No. 2 Georgia in Week 11 (Nov. 9), a matchup that will likely act as an elimination game for both programs.
