Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love tends to play backyard football. While his play style is one reason he's a budding star, it's also why he sometimes makes foolish mistakes.
That was on display Sunday late in the second quarter against the Detroit Lions.
With the Packers trailing 10-3, the pocket collapsed on a 2nd-and-1 at Green Bay's 38-yard line. Love forced the issue instead of giving up on the play. Lions cornerback Kerby Joseph then intercepted him, returning it for a 27-yard pick-six.

Love has tossed nine interceptions through his first six starts, tied with Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield for the most in the NFL.
Most of these turnovers fall on Love. According to Pro Football Focus, he has 10 turnover-worthy plays, tied for the sixth most in the league (min. 82 dropbacks).
Love, 26, is still establishing himself as an elite passer. He's tied for the league's third-most TD passes (15) and seventh in passing yards per game (257.8).
Still, he must realize there are times when he shouldn't be aggressive. That should help him avoid interceptions and take his game to the next level.
