This Jets offensive lineman is showing toughness playing through injuries

Back in Week 3, New York Jets offensive lineman Morgan Moses suffered an MCL sprain that would keep him out of action for two to four weeks. He was back during New York's Week 6 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. However, it was not until Monday that we found out the true extent of Moses' injury.

Moses told reporters during a news conference that he is currently playing through a Grade 2 MCL sprain, meniscus damage and a small fracture in his knee. He has played the last four games dealing with these injuries.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo added to this mentioning the extent that Moses is going through to get ready to play each week, including around-the-clock rehab.

During this stretch, Moses has not only held his own but has been one of the bright spots of New York's shaky offensive line which has gone through a plethora of other injuries. Per Pro Football Focus, Moses has only allowed one total pressure since his return in Week 6.

This is not new for Moses either. Moses revealed in his introductory news conference with the Jets in March that he tore his pec in Week 4 of last season while he was with the Ravens. Moses would still go on to play 14 regular season games and two playoff games with Baltimore before getting surgery in the offseason.

"Everybody in this locker room is playing through something ... when I can't give you 100%, I know the guy beside me is going to give the extra 15%," Moses said during Monday's media availability

Those three games missed last year in Baltimore and the two this season in New York are Moses' only missed games due to injury since his rookie season in 2014.

The Jets have been flushed with injuries to their offensive line, specifically their guards. Alijah Vera-Tucker, John Simpson, Xavier Newman and Jake Hanson have all been banged up this season. This has forced two backup offensive tackles, Max Mitchell and Olu Fashanu, into those roles the latter of which has never played guard in his football career.

It is safe to say that the Jets are extremely grateful for Moses' toughness and willingness to play through an injury as bad as that.
