It's official. Paul George is on the board as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Sure, it took until 11:46 in the second quarter and George was 0-for-5 before that in the first quarter with a turnover. And yes, it almost rimmed out.
The thing that counts is that it went in, though, and with that, the nine-time NBA All-Star and six-time All-NBA forward hit his first bucket for his new team.

That was undoubtedly a nice sight to see for President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and General Manager Elton Brand.
The 76ers gave George a four year, $211.5M contract this offseason with the hopes that he'll be the missing piece alongside Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid in their efforts to win their first NBA Championship since 1983.
Having played for the Indianapolis Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers in the 14 seasons preceding 2024 with the 76ers, George has averaged 20.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
